Cupcakes, crafting and love at The Cherry Tree Cafe…
Lizzie Dixon’s life feels as though it’s fallen apart. Instead of the marriage proposal she was hoping for from her boyfriend, she is unceremoniously dumped, and her job is about to go the same way. So, there’s only one option: to go back home to the village she grew up in and to try to start again.

Her best friend Jemma is delighted Lizzie has come back home. She has just bought a little cafe and needs help in getting it ready for the grand opening. And Lizzie’s sewing skills are just what she needs.

With a new venture and a new home, things are looking much brighter for Lizzie. But can she get over her broken heart, and will an old flame reignite a love from long ago…?

For everyone who loves settling down to watch Great British Bake-Off, the Great British Sewing Bee, or curling up to read Milly Johnson or Jenny Colgan, The Cherry Tree Cafe is a coffee-break treat.

The House of Secrets by Sarra Manning

#BookBlogger My Thanks must go to @LittleBrownUK & the lovely @sarramanning for writing #TheHouseofSecrets

I fell in love with the pretty cover of this book,I adore roses so was drawn straight away. I know, you should never judge a book by it’s cover, but believe me, this one really carried on, on the inside too.

The storyline had me gripped & the characters were truly well written into this dual narrative novel set in the 1930s and the present day.

Historical reading isn’t my normal genre but I really enjoyed this book.

I rate this book 5/5

The Beachside Sweet Shop by Karen Clarke

#BookReview 📚📚  Thanks  @bookouture you’ve done it again. Top #Author @karenclarke123 has written a fabulous book which really made me smile.

The Beach side Sweet Shop has such a gorgeous cover, I felt I could have sat on that very deck chair and read my books on it! As I was actually brought up in a sweet shop I smiled all of the way through this gorgeous heartwarming read. A lot of the sweets reminded me of my childhood.

The fictional Seaside town of Shipley sounds gorgeous, I almost packed my bags and started looking on TripAdvisor for a place to stay. The characters and storyline are just everything I adore in a book. I can honestly say that I felt quite sad to be saying farewell to everyone at the end.

The Beachside Sweet Shop is going to be a #SummerSensation

Marnie gets busy redecorating the shop and choosing delicious new sweets to stock, but things are never that simple: new neighbour Isobel, a fame-hungry blogger, is on a crusade against sugar, and she’ll go to any lengths to secure bad publicity for Marnie’s shop.

Marnie fights back with homemade sugar-free treats, but with her best friend Beth heavily pregnant, her grandmother Celia recovering from an operation, and her very recently ex-boyfriend Alex returning to Shipley with a new love, Marnie has a lot on her plate.

Welcome to Lagos by Chibundu Onuzo

#BookReviewer. There was something about the cover of this book which I really liked and @FaberBooks kindly whizzed this book over to me via @NetGalley and written by @ChibunduOnuzo.

What a wonderful writer Chibundu is, who certainly seems to have researched before putting pen to paper. This book is so powerful and heart wrenching, I cried. Each of the seven main characters who are thrown together have a story to tell and boy they certainly are descriptive. I cried and felt I was so lucky to live in the country I live in.

This was one truly powerful and thought provoking novel which I know will be remembered for a very long time.
